YUCA TOSTONES

Crunchy Delight: Master the Art of Yuca Tostones with this Recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb cassava
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • Salt
  • Vegetable oil for frying

CORIANDER SAUCE:

  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp. of sour cream
  • 1/2 lemon
  • Coriander to taste
  • Pinch salt to taste

Preparation:

  1. Cut the Yucca Root into pieces and peel it using a knife.
  2. Boil a pot of water and add salt. Add the yucca and cook for 15 minutes or until the yucca is soft.
  3. Once cooked, let it cool and remove the cassava root.
  4. Add two tbsps. of cornstarch and mix well
  5. With the help of parchment paper, form a roll
  6. Cut into slices and flatten a little
  7. In a separate frying pan, put enough oil to fry and heat it.
  8. Fry the Yuca tostones until golden brown (approximately 4 minutes on each side)
  9. Serve accompanied by Cilantro sauce
