CHICKEN FLAUTAS AHOGADAS

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 Serrano Peppers
  • 1/2 Diced onion
  • 1/2 cup panela Cheese
  • Cream
  • Cilantro
  • 6-8 Corn Tortillas
  • Oil
  • Sliced lettuce
  • 5-6 Green tomatoes
  • Pepper
  • Chicken broth or salt
  • Shredded chicken

Directions:

For the sauce:

Boil the tomatoes with the serrano chile in enough water.

Fry the half onion.

Blend boiled tomatoes, serrano chile, cilantro and the fried onion. Use a little of the water from the tomatoes or if you have consommé from the shredded chicken. Season with salt or chicken bouillon.

In a skillet heat oil and sauté the sauce. Check seasoning.

 

For the flautas:

Heat the tortillas and assemble the flautas: tortillas with chicken. Secure with a wooden toothpick.

Fry.

In a plate or bowl put 4 to 5 tablespoons of sauce and place the flautas. Serve with lettuce, cream and cheese.
