"Southern Summer Comfort"

 

Celebrate "Southern Summer Comfort" with Chef and cookbook author Terry Conlan! Chef Terry will share his expertise preparing this season's harvest with Chilled Peach Gazpacho, Gulf Crab Salad on Fried Green Tomatoes with Green Jalapeno Gastrique, Carolina Mixed Grill including Chicken Fried Quail and Chorizo Stuffed BBQ Pork Loin with Coffee Laced Bourbon BBQ Sauce and Crispy Cheese Grits and Low Fat Lemon Meringue Tarts. 

Cultural Vacation

 

Culinary Educator Elizabeth Escobedo returns with some delectable dishes that will take you on a "Cultural Vacation" from your usual menu. Elizabeth will show you how to get away to the islands with Pineapple, Orange and Cactus Juice, Grilled Fish Tacos with Roasted Tomatillo-Arbol Chile Salsa, Cabbage-Citrus Slaw with Cilantro Vinaigrette and Grilled Bananas and Strawberries with Salted Dulce de Leche Caramel Sauce.

Indian Cuisine during Ramadan

 

Chef Kiran Verma, owner of Kiran's Restaurant in Houston, TX, will demonstrate how to put a modern twist to traditional Indian cuisine made to break the fast during Ramadan.
